CC&C Preaching Cohort
Next Cohort September-November 2024
This 12-week preaching cohort is aimed at newer preachers and seasoned preachers who need some fresh ideas. It will help you build a foundation of Christ-centered preaching while also equipping you to preach in a way that is clear and compelling.
Commitment: A 1-hour online meeting each week for 12 weeks, 2 individual sermon review sessions, and reading 3 books on preaching
Cost: $300 (includes all meetings, books, & two individual sermon reviews)
* We're able to keep the cost low thanks to the help of The Pillar Network. There are also scholarships available for those in need.

Month 1: Christ-Centered Interpretation
The cohort will consider issues related to Christ-Centered interpretation, including how to preach Christ from different genres. The cohort will read and discuss the book Your Old Testament Sermon Needs to Get Saved.

Month 2: Clarifying Sermon Structure
The cohort will examine different approaches to developing weekly sermons, managing weekly sermon preparation, and how to keep the sermon unified. The cohort will read and discuss the book 8 Hours or Less.

Month 3: Improving Sermon Quality
The cohort will identify the ingredients which make a sermon clear and compelling, including the proper use of illustrations and application. The cohort will read and discuss the book Saving Eutychus.
