Matt Capps

Matt Capps came to Fairview as the Senior Pastor in June of 2015. Matt earned his B.A. in Art from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte, a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) with Biblical Languages from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Doctorate (D.Min.) in pastoral theology from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Matt and his wife, Laura, have three children.

Matt is an author and contributor to several books and numerous articles. Dr. Capps has served on the Leadership Council for the Ethics and Religious Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention, the Young Pastors Council for the North American Mission Board, and the Board of Directors for the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina.
